Orton Effect

This is my first try at the Orton Effect. The top picture is the original and the bottom is the Orton Effect applied. What do you think?

Another HDR

I done a little more tweaking on the setting and come up with this.

First picture using HDR Pro

This picture is the combination of 5 different exposures of the sunrise and pier at Nags Head. My first try at using HDR and I think I am going to like it.

Buck and Shot Bullet

This small bullet was recovered in the battle field at Cloyds Moutain. The confederates would load these small bullets in the gun first then put in the larger "two" ringer bullet. This in turn would hit more objects or people as the smaller bullets spread after fired.

The dime was not recovered, just to show size of bullet.

This is my hunting buddy Tom. He has permission to hunt these fields where the battle took place.

1900 Indian Head Penny

I found this today in the yard at the Schroder Bed and Breakfast in town. it is a little corroded but it is a 1900 Indian Head penny. it was about 5 inches deep.
