It has once again turned cold in Sandy Flats. It was 17 degrees this morning. This recent photo of a stream after a snow lets us know winter isn't ready to let go yet. I started up a fire and I must say the heat from a wood stove is hard to beat during the winter. Burning wild cherry wood adds a wonderful smell to the air when outdoors.

Day at Lynchburg

Today started out early, I was up at 5 am and by 6:15 I was on my way to Lynchburg to the annual State meeting of Dixie Baseball/Softball. I always look forward to it to see people I have met at tournaments and past meetings over the years. I was there most of the day.
Here is one picture of the falls I spoke of yesterday. The water is not flowing as much as it was when I first spotted it. I hope to go back there this spring after some rains to take more pictures.

Yesterdays Sunset
All in all yesterday wasn't a bad day for winter. I went to a hill and took this shot as sun went down.I am going back to the orthopedic Dr today to see what is the next step on my shoulder. As I come home I am taking the parkway and going to stop at a waterfall I found about a month ago and take some photos.

First Day
I just started my blog today and I am deciding what to write about. The day has been pretty uneventful and the sun was a welcomed sight. At sunset I will be looking for a good photo op as the sun once again drops below the horizon.
